A magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition as silent film star, Norma Desmond, longs for a return to the big screen, having been discarded by tinsel town with the advent of 'talkies.' Her glamour has faded in all but her mind. When she meets struggling Hollywood screen-writer, Joe Gillis, in dramatic circumstances, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to a tragic conclusion.

SPRING MUSICAL ANNOUNCED

Audition Time: 7:00 p.m.

Audition Location: Jedlicka Performing Arts Center (Building A, Morton College),

3801 S. Central Avenue, Cicero

Equity/Non Equity: Non-Equity


Type/Restrictions: 2 Male Principals; 2 Female Principals; 4 Featured Male Roles and a large ensemble.

Time Commitment: Rehearsals: from Feb. 13th.

Performances: Fridays & Saturday Evenings & Sunday Matinees April 20th through May 5th

Description:

6 Men 3 Women for See How They Run.


Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English

vicarage are an American actor and actress

(he is now stationed with the air force in England),

a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies,

an old maid who "touches alcohol for the first time in her life,"

four men in clergyman suits presenting the problem of which

is which, for disguised as one is an escaped prisoner,

and a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings on and the

trumped up stories they tell him.

Extremely fast, high energy script.


Time Commitment:

Read through: Dec. 19;

Rehearsals: Jan. 18 through February 23;

Performances: Fri, Sat evenings, Sunday afternoons from

Feb 24th through March 10th

1 comic monologue.
